Deaf Rugby and Handball Team

Welcome

Coach Benjamin Annor welcomed and introduced Mr. Jimmy Larche to Ghana precisely Kumasi to the Wheel Chair Track and Field Team as a friend who has come from U.S.A to visit the team.

Introduction

Mr. Jimmy Larche started by introducing himself as a native from Tennessee, U.S.A. I don’t know much about sign language but I love everyone here and so glad to be join you over here in Ghana today. He said back in Tennessee, we hold summer camps for kids who have social and financial disadvantages. We have a saying that “when life hands you a lemon, you make a lemonade out of it”, Jimmy said.

He told the team never to forget that God created them in his own special way. I may be living in America and you are living here in Ghana but that is not forever, there is only one place that is forever and that place is Heaven.

Mr. Jimmy Larche told the team that Heaven is forever and that is where we should strive to be, a place where everything is perfect. He said in America a lot of the youth make excuses of how bad life is, but one thing that is for sure is “excuses never yield results”.

He said, it inspires him a lot to see how the team trains with enthusiasm and passion. Having right attitude and with a positive mind set like what the team displayed now, there is nothing impossible to achieve, I see everything is possible with God by your side..

Mr. Jimmy Larche concluded by saying that he is highly impressed with what the team is doing here and he prays for God’s blessings upon everyone of them.
