A REPORT ON THE “SPREADING L-O-V-E” DONATION HELD BY THE ED-NADETTE FOUNDATION ON 15TH JANUARY, 2021.
On the 15th of January, 2021 in the morning the President, the Executives, and some members of the ED-NADETTE Foundation visited the Street Children Empowerment Foundation (SCEF) to show their love for the children and make donation.
Same day, the foundation arrives at the children’s home. Some of the children at the SCEF were there to welcome them. Miss Bernice Mensah welcomes everyone and called upon Mr. Augustine to say the opening prayer. After that Miss Jennifer preached a short sermon about salvation in Jesus Christ. Twenty of the children responded to the call and gave their life to Jesus Christ after the sermon.
Miss Bernadette Shardow, the President of the ED-NADETTE Foundation gave her opening address. She said the reason for our coming and gathering was to show love to the less privileged and also to disabled people. A representative by name Mrs. Yoline from Street Children Empowerment Foundation (SCEF) welcomes the guests. She asked the children to listen to everything that will be said to them and also to be accommodating.
Counseling session was done by the guests and was led by Miss Jennifer. She admonished the children to take their studies seriously. She told them not to engage in any pre-marital relations with the opposite sex because it only leads to teenage pregnancies, school dropout and also STIs and STDs. She also educated them about personal hygiene.
A series of games and fun was conducted by Coach Ben, Director of Rescue Sports Foundation. He involved the children in a lot of games and fun activities which made the children so incited and happy. Refreshments were given to all after the fun and exciting games. Donation of books, notebooks, pens, pencils and other stationery items were presented by the ED-NADETTE Foundation to the Street Children Empowerment Foundation for the use of the children. In addition Bibles and Teevos were shared among the children present. Afterwards the ED-NADETTE Foundation took photos with the Children. Soon the visit was over. Miss Perpetual of the ED-NADETTE Foundation prayed to close the day visit at about 4:30 pm.
