RUGBY TRAINING SESSION

REPORT ON A RUGBY TRAINING SESSION FOR THE ASHANTI REGIONAL DEAF RUGBY TEAM AT KUMASI SOCIAL CLUB ON SATURDAY, 9TH FEBRUARY, 2019

Training and Drills

RSF Rugby Games, Kumasi

The Ashanti Regional Deaf Rugby team organized a training session that lasted for some few hours. Every Saturdays the team meets and trains in order to gain fitness and improves on their passing and catching skills and also to get familiar to learn more advance Rugby drills and skills. The team is coached by Isaac and Emmanuel Acheampong.

The training session incorporated various drills and techniques such Passing drills and Catching drills. The team also learns the act and techniques of passing and catching from different angles and different setups.

The training session commenced at 8:30am and ended at 10: 30 am, Saturday morning. The Coach encouraged the team players to work harder and be determined to make a difference and create an impact on the field of play.

Attendance for the outreach was encouraging.

 Recommendations

The Rugby Team needs modern training equipments to help improves and sharpen their skills, speed and development.

Conclusion

The training session was successful.  The Grace of God was with everyone. The team trained with enthusiasm, passion and improves on their performance comparing to the previous times was unquestionable.  The Team Coaches encouraged them to always believe in themselves and have confidence in the training to achieve the impossible.

We thank God for another Rugby training session. We also thank our Chairman, Coach Benjamin Annor for supervising the training session and make sure that all went well with everyone both players, coaches and officials. We also acknowledge the sacrifice and commitment of our coaches Coach Isaac and Coach Emmanuel Achampong who were in charge of the team and the training session.
